WHAT A WEEKEND!

So I started the weekend at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, fed the baby and then got to work. Jeff did too, so at least I wasn't alone being up that early. We continued to clean out the house and toys, I learned that I get entirely too much junk at yard sales and it is time to stop shopping! There is a fund raiser this weekend for Peyton Mayhew from my church so I wanted to give them some stuff. I managed to scrounge up a measely - 6 garbage bags, extra car seat, a huge box, a bouncer, 2 swings and various other items. I can manage to crawl through my garage now and believe it or not we are making a difference (can you imagine how bad it was before the 6 bags!) We then had my friend Bree over to hang out and went to CiCi's for dinner. We had a great time with her and always love to see her!

On Sunday we got up early and went out to eat at Cracker Barrel where Jeff gets to serve us (Lucky him, he can serve me at home AND at work). We continued on to Church, then home for a nap. After that we went to our friend Samanth's daughter's first birthday party. It was at their community pool and we had a great time.
What a great goody bag.

We had a hard time leaving the wonderful and cool water but finally left and went to a softball game with some friends. Jeff arranged the entire game and it turned out great. Although we lost by a ton, we had a lot of HOT and SWEATY fun. It was hotter than Haitis and I was sweating like an old man. The kids were exhausted but had a great day.
Alex and Grandma

She watched boths the kids while we played. It was great to have a few minutes away from the babes.
Alex learned to hold his sippy cup, he loves the thing and now I can possibly leave him for a few hours and not worry! He wouldn't touch a bottle, both times we tried:)

So fun that you got to play. I remember you playing in high school and I always thought you were crazy to want to play in the dirt and sun. YOu look so good and your boys are darling. What a fun weekend. That reminds me, I need to go through all of my junk.

I love that you said you were sweating like an old man! Ha! Ha! Such a visual on that one. You were super busy this weekend! All kinds of fun you were having! I love good causes to encourage you to part with items that you would have kept, that is a great idea to have a yard sale fund raiser, that way everyone can help.

It was a CRAZY weekend, still is a crazy week, but it is fun. The game was great, you don't understand humidity until you go stand directly in the sun during the rainy season (if it doesn't rain it is about 100% humidity, water pours out of your body). I am reading a book about IndoChina and completely understand the heat they describe! Peyton Palooza will be really fun, unfortunately I won't be able to go since I have to go to Gay Pride Day for work. Although I am totally looking forward to it. We have a booth and I can't wait to see some Freaks on a Leash:) (In a good way of course)

Gay pride Day. What the heck? Yes, they are a rare group all in themselves. YOU will definently see some weird ones. One day we went to Disneyland and is was official bat day for all goth people. I was so amazed. MY boys kept asking me what was wrong with all these people. The saddest thing was seeing girls like 8 years old in the corsets and 8 inch heals with their parents. What an example they are setting. I actaully stopped a couple of them asked them some questions and my husband moritfied. I am a little to bold for him sometimes.

The humidity is the worst! We have been pretty humid lately because of all the rain we have been getting... it actually will make my car windows fog up, when no one is inside! I could live without it, though it sure makes the plants green...

Lorrin,

I was doing the homework that Liz gave me last night and I had a blast! Liz wants me to do all of the past chalenges that you guys have done, one of those being the birth stories. So I was catching up and reading everyone elses stories and can I just say WOW! You are awesome but it just goes to show what we women are capable of when put to the challenge. I loved your story so much I made my husband read it! I don't even know what to say except for I hate hospitals! Especially when they treat you like you or your baby is diseased. And how inconsiderate to make you stand every where you went! Well hopefully in the next week I will get caught up on the challenges so check my blog for my story!

Well I can't wait for Gay Pride Day. I have invited a ton of people but they all thought we were nuts. We are hoping to get some new work while there and have a bunch of handouts. I might bring my jewelry too. I will bring my camera and post anything that doesn't need to be blurry.

Shanda, I can't wait to see your posts, I'm glad you enjoyed mine. Nick was a horrible story and Sarah kept saying that is not how it usually is for people. Turns out, it could have been worse - in the opposite direction. It is great having the stories and I know the boys will appreciate them (or their wives) when they are older. Their personalities have been exactly like their births, very interesting. . .
